美联储又向金融市场注入750亿美元，继续实施注资计划

美联储(Federal Reserve)周三又出售了750亿美元的市场回购协议(market repurchase agreement，简称repos)，继续努力稳定货币市场，将利率维持在预期区间。这轮融资获得超额认购，银行要求近920亿美元的隔夜回购，显示市场对该资产的需求强劲。该行上周开始了一系列回购，这是自2008年金融危机以来首次出售此类资产。央行表示，将持续到10月初。The Federal Reserve on Wednesday soldanother $75 billion in market repurchase agreements, or repos, in a continuedeffort to calm money markets and bring interest rates within its intendedrange.

The round was oversubscribed, as banksrequested nearly $92 billion in overnight repos, signaling strong demand forthe asset.

The bank began a streak of repo offeringslast week, marking the first time such assets were sold since the 2008financial crisis. The central bank said the offerings would continue throughearly October.

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday continuedits effort to stabilize money markets and contain interest rates with another$75 billion sale of overnight repurchase agreements, or repos.

The sale was oversubscribed, as bankssought about $92 billion in overnight repos, indicating rising demand for theasset. Banks offered Treasurys and mortgage-backed securities as collateral.

The offering followed a $105 billioninjection on Monday, which included $75 billion in overnight repos and $30billion in repos expiring in 14 days.

美联储上周开始提供回购，这是数十年来的首次，目的是稳定货币市场，将短期借款利率维持在目标区间内。

The Fed began offering repos last week forthe first in a decadeto calm money markets and bring short-term borrowing rateswithin its target range. The central bank pumped a total of $278 billion intothe financial system from Tuesday to Friday last week.

Also last week, the Federal Open MarketCommittee cut its benchmark interest rate by a quarter of a percentage point,landing in a window of 1.75% to 2%. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell called the repoofferings a temporary action.

The Fed"s schedule calls for another $75billion of overnight repos to be auctioned every business day until October 10,with some days also offering $30 billion worth of 14-day repos
